DanuBioValNet phytopharma road mapping workshop was held in Belgrade 17, April, 2018. Industry, technology experts, regulators and policymakers from Baden-Württemberg, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Serbia and other Danube region countries discussed trends, legislation, opportunities, policy measures that impact markets, clusters and are transforming Phytopharma value chain at the global level.


On 17 April 2018, more than 30 experts from the phytopharmaceutical sector in the Danube region gathered for a workshop in Belgrade to discuss technological, market, policy and social-economic challenges related to the Phytopharma industry. ​ ​
The discussion was conducted in three parallel sessions devoted to selected topics. Gaps in the provision of services related to Phytopharma discussed current gaps and future needs for the phytopharmaceutical sector. A second session focused on Missing Links and knowledge development, addressed the need of supporting R&D infrastructure for farmers and cultivators involved in high tech applications. The linkages within business networks were also discussed in this session. The third session, which described Future Trends and upcoming Legislation, referred to the need for understanding the business environment and future perspectives. The workshop was moderated by Darja Osvald, Zorica Marić, and Ana Aleksić Mirić. Following the initial presentations were given by experts from Baden-Württemberg, Bulgaria, and Serbia, information and ideas were shared through guided facilitation. Activities, time frame, and the responsible persons and authorities were identified through a facilitation process for each of the topics. The findings and recommendations serve as the inputs for the strategic actions for expansion of opportunities associated with the Phytopharma value chain in the Danube region.

S3-4AlpCluster Evaluation workshop: IMPACT OF CLUSTERS on IMPLEMENTATION OF S3, Ljubljana 5, April 2018. Experts from the S3-4AlpineCluster consortium from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia met with Slovenian experts from the CRP SRIP Project, led by Faculty of Social Science, the University of Ljubljana to exchange knowledge on evaluation approaches to Smart specializations through clusters.
