Tomaž Cigüt
Tomaž Cigüt Sustainability consultant
Tomaž Cigüt is a passionate sustainable development practitioner. He joined Anteja as a consultant in project development and project management, focusing on stakeholder engagement and Anteja’s work in African countries.

Prior to joining Anteja, Tomaž worked at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme’s global headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, on projects aimed at tackling the climate crisis through the changes made in urban mobility. In his work, he focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the New Urban Agenda, and the 1.5°C stabilization pathway adopted in the Paris Agreement through the transformation of cities’ structures and their functions, and through promotion of walking, cycling and the use of public transport instead of personal vehicles. His work included project management from project inception phase to the project implementation phase, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, organization and facilitation of conferences and workshops, work on policies and strategies, and correspondence with various relevant stakeholders and partner organizations. During his work, he also contributed to several UN-Habitat’s publications.

Tomaž holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor, and is currently completing a Master of Arts Degree in Geography from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. He is fluent in English and Slovene and has a working knowledge of German and French language.
